I recently received a scholarship to participate in HASTAC (Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Advanced Collaboratory) which is an organization that focuses on the practice and study of all sorts of subjects in the digital age, using current technological and digital methods.
I am very excited to be participating with such a diverse group of people and cannot express enough gratitude toward Dr. Shawn Graham, one of my professors at Carleton University who inspired the passion I now have for the digital humanities. I am excited to share my thoughts and ideas and have already found an audience interested in my personal work. My first post has to do with Looted Heritage, one of Dr. Graham’s projects of which I have been assisting. The site maps the illegal antiquities trade to raise awareness of such a dire problem. This is the main theme of my post.
My profile can be found here and I must add that anyone can post and share their ideas with the community.
